Converse is one of the sneaker brands that have always been used for street styling and it gives your overall outfit a good classic look. But, some people find them difficult to style. That’s why I created this guide to help you master your converse style at zero risk.
In this blog:
- First, I will guide you on what style to get. Because having the right style, model and color, allows you create tons of versatile outfits.
- Second, We talk about what clothes go well with high top sneakers and colors to choose for perfect color harmony.
So! Let’s get going!
1. Which style to pick?
High top converse! Of course!
Why?
High top Converse covers your ankle and socks and create a clean look. It’s great if you like to keep your style simple and chic.

2. Which model, color to pick?
They have a variety of models and colors for high top style, but I would say the most versatile ones are these two below. The Parchment one is great for Spring and Summer styles when you wear more brighter colors and the black one is great during Fall and Winter when you wear more darker colors.
You can find them here

3. What to wear with them?
The best way to style high top converse is
1- Wearing them with something long.
Like long pants or skirts. Look below to see which pants style work well with high top converse and which you should avoid.

2- Wear them with something short
Converse has a very bold design. You either need to tone it down by covering portions of it or you need to give it it’s own space (If that makes any sense!) That is why wearing something short that ends at or above your knees can help balancing the whole look.

4. Style colors
After analyzing lots of styles, it is safe to say that the best colors for styling converse sneakers are neutral colors of any shade. Especially during Fall and winter when you are wearing different layers, it’s better to keep it simple.

Voila! You’ve got it! Also, if converse is not your type, make sure to read my Comprehensive guide on shopping versatile sneakers in 2021.
